Since October 2011, **Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities (**THK**MC)** was incorporated as a charity with an IPC status to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large.

**THK**MC provides assistance to the various groups in our community through more than 60 programmes and services for the **elderly and the sick**, **families**, **persons with disabilities**, and **children. **We help anyone in need with full respect to their race, colour, creed, language, culture and religion. We have more than 90 programmes and services, reaching out to more than 55,000 people in the community.

DESIGNATION : Head of Community Based Services (Disability Service)

RESPONSIBILITIES

THK Disability Service Division runs five main Homes and Hostels for the Disabled. The division aims to ensure that adults with disabilities enjoy the highest possible quality of life, especially in the areas of health and well-being, participation, independence, decision-making and inclusion. Structured programmes are designed to suit the residents of different age groups and profiles to train and develop their capabilities in self-help, community living, socialization, perceptual-cognitive and motor skills.

This position reports to the Divisional Director.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead community-based services within the Disability Service Division -Sheltered Workshop and Day Activity Centre
- Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of programmes and services and work on the areas for improvement
- Engage various stakeholders including government, employers and training providers to identify skills needs to customize training of clients to improve their quality of life and prepare them for employment
- Develop new strategies, training frameworks and curriculum for clients with disabilities
- Align the requirements of MSF and THKMC
- Network and collaborate with relevant stakeholders and community partners through marketing campaigns, build relationship with parents/caregivers and prospective clients to expand clients’ pool
- Participate in budget exercise and manage budget in accordance to its allocations with a 10% +/- variance
- Prepare periodic reports, financial statements and records on Centre progress or other reports for management or outside agencies.

- Maintain a sound network with the local community service and partner organisations for the recruitment of volunteers
- Develop volunteer database
- Develop and execute retention schemes for volunteers

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in relevant discipline

OTHER INFORMATION
- Strong training background especially in social service sector
- At least 7 years relevant work experience in social service, sheltered workshop management or training with supervisory experience
- Passionate and willing to work with persons with disabilities
- Able to work independently, handle confidential information in a professional manner, yet be a team player in meeting organisation needs.
- Strong in verbal and written communication skills
