**Job Description**:
JOB SUMMARY

The Coordinator (Surveillance) will be part of the Healthcare-associated Infections (HAI) Surveillance team at the National Public Health and Epidemiology Unit (NPHEU), National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID). The Coordinator (Surveillance) will lead and work with the team to conduct systematic surveillance of infectious disease prevention and control among healthcare institutions with feedback mechanisms to promote improvement of care delivery through reduction of HAI in Singapore.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SPECIFIC

**The Coordinator (Surveillance) will**:
Conduct HAI surveillance such as device-associated infection surveillance in ICU, antimicrobial utilization surveillance and perform quality checks to rectify errors in datasets and ensure data collection methods used are consistent
Plan and coordinate audits for healthcare institutions
Prepare presentations related to surveillance work
Manage internal and external communications with collaborations to ensure a smooth execution of surveillance process.
Collaborate with internal and external partners in research projects and prepare manuscripts
Share knowledge, feedback and facilitate discussions with team on data collection errors, workflow reviews etc
Undertake any other adhoc duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in any Science specialisation with 1 to 2 years of experience in healthcare surveillance work.
Possesses good understanding of the HAI landscape in Singapore.
Good communicator, analytical, organised and is a team player.
