Business: WB Asia Credit Risk Management
Position: Senior Credit Officer
Reporting to: Chief Risk Officer Asia
**ROLE SUMMARY & PROFILE**
**Overview**
The Credit Risk Management team has Second Line responsibility for the credit risk of the bank’s Wholesale Banking portfolio in Asia. Within this team, the Senior Credit Officers (“SCOs”) advise on and have delegated approval authority for transactions across all the Sectors and Products for which they are primarily responsible. The SCO also leads regulatory projects and represents the CRM team in discussions with the bank’s auditors and supervisors.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyse, assess, approve and manage the credit risks of individual transactions and portfolios.
- Proactively share and manage risk appetite with First Line to maintain a common risk culture.
- Manage within relevant Risk Appetite Statements, ensuring any deviations are properly reported, escalated or mitigated.
- Contribute to regulatory deliverables for WB Asia, including but not limited to reporting on risk migration and the local implementation of policies and procedures around Leveraged Transactions and ESR/Climate Change.
- Promote working together across the Risk units as an integrated function with a shared focus, objectives and approach.
**We are looking for (key competencies and qualifications)**
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to keep the big picture in mind but also focus on details as the situation requires
- At least 10 years of experience with lending transactions, preferably including receivables financing, in which you have assumed end to end responsibility for credit decision making and review of loan documentation
- Willingness and ability to take balanced decisions
- Proven track record of operating independently and delivering solid results under time pressure
- Intimate knowledge of ING’s systems (Vantage), processes and procedures is strongly preferred
