**Housekeeping Supervisor Job Summary 1**:
The Housekeeping Supervisor may work in any type of facilities location on client premises. This individual provides supervision at the direction of management on site to coordinate activities of workers and/or service employees engaged in facilities operations or services at either larger complex facilities or locations in the areas of commercial, health care, schools, universities or other establishments. He/She coordinates, at the direction of management, key functions and between 3 and 10 employees during the normal course of business. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Company may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

- Supervises housekeeping staff and coordinates staffing schedules to ensure the proper cleaning of offices, public areas, residents rooms and community grounds.
- Conducts regular inspections of all resident rooms, public areas and bathrooms.
- Plans and schedules cleaning programs, including but not limited to annuals, move-in preparations and carpet cleaning.
- Ensures on housekeeping inventory, supplies or equipment are ordered, as well as being handled and maintained safely.
- Ensures staff is trained on the safe handling of cleaning chemicals in accordance with department and is compliant with state, federal and local standards, MSDS, OSHA, EPA, and any other applicable regulations.

Maintains a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents.

**Housekeeping Supervisor Requirements & Skills 1**:

- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- Prior experience in housekeeping.
- Previous experience or training in supervision and scheduling preferred.

The Housekeeping Supervisor provides high level of focus on guest satisfaction through maintaining an exceptional housekeeping department. Responsible for providing day-to-day direct supervision, guidance and training of housekeeping team members on an assigned shift.

- Responsible for oversight of the detailed inspection program for superior cleanliness, a well maintained facility, and room quality.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas and all housekeeping job assignments to ensure cleanliness, quality, and the departmental standards are being met.
- Oversees the removal, replacement and stocking of linen / terry and room amenities. Assists to clean, prepares rooms and other performs other relevant housekeeping duties.
- Prioritizes the cleaning duties and provides updates on status of completed rooms and work areas. Maintains records of rooms that receive cleaning approval and rooms that require further cleaning and maintenance.
- Monitors the Property Management System (PMS) in order to track room vacancies for cleaning and maintenance.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
- Interviews, hires and trains team members; schedules and motivates team members; plans, assigns and direct work; appraise performance; reward team members; address complaints and resolve problems.
- Identifies cleaning needs and potential safety hazards or repair needs, and notifies appropriate individuals for resolution.
- Distributes and collects the operational equipment and supplies and other necessary tools to team members at the beginning and end of each shift.
