We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results Geotab is seeking a Solutions Engineering Manager who will be responsible for managing a Solutions Engineering Team, supporting all team endeavors and liaising with other team leads and departments. This position is a seasoned Geotab product suite expert capable of explaining technical products and integrations to Geotab customers and supporting Sales Teams with strategic efforts. **What you’ll do

**How you’ll make an impact**

  • Manage and support team endeavors.
  • Ensure documentation related to the team is current.
  • Ensure teams maintain technical knowledge of the Geotab ecosystem.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Geotab ecosystem, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to empower end-users and partners and enhance their understanding of Geotab solutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's offerings by providing partner and end-user feedback, providing opportunities to collaborate with Product Management teams.
  • Understand reverse engineering processes and capabilities to support Geotab’s vehicle support
  • Collaborate with Sales Teams to align and execute on the sales process
  • Manage the technical aspect of the sales process providing expert and professional technical sales support as it pertains to products, software and services.
  • Manage escalations between Solutions Engineering team and customers.
  • Understand department staffing needs and work with senior leadership on resources planning.
  • Provide expert project leadership and guidance to the team as SME.
  • Oversee the activities and performance of direct reports, including: Providing direction, coaching and mentorship to the team; Engaging in the development of the team by coaching, providing feedback, identifying areas of growth and training opportunities; Collaborating and supporting employees during the performance management process, meeting KPAs and career development planning.
  • Assess and analyze partner and end-user business challenges, identifying Geotab’s viability and proposing alternative approaches when necessary.

**What you’ll bring to this role**

  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field highly valued
  • 5-8 years experience in a Solutions Engineering or similar role.
  • 3-5 years experience managing and developing teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Technical experience using SQL, C#, JavaScript or Google BigQuery
  • Experience with OBD or SAE vehicle standards is an asset.
  • Experience working within a technical or engineering organization/knowledge of the high-technology industry is an asset.
  • Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including comfort with delivering presentations and training.
  • Must stay relevant to technology and should have the flexibility to adapt to the growing technology and market demands.
  • Leadership experience in a team-oriented workplace.
  • Success with coaching and development of employees.
  • Strategic mindset, has a keen sense of priorities, along with an ability to pivot as the landscape changes.
  • A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
  • Preferred Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia or Bahasa Indonesia.
