RESPONSIBILITIES

**Department Description**

JERAGM IT systems and services are undergoing change and as of Q2-2021 are split by business line:

- For Coal and Freight: EDFT provides IT systems and associated services to JERAGM
- For LNG: JERAGM has recently implemented and gone live with Allegro Horizon
- For Freight: IMOS is used for Freight Operations as a standalone system

JERAGM aims to become independent from EDFT IT and has an ongoing IT Change Programme to implement Allegro for Coal and Freight, to build out in-house FO tools as well as supporting growth and change of the LNG business.

**Key Role Responsibilities**

**Environments Planning for releases**
- Environments plan for all planned releases and environment contingency is available for emergency releases which is updated daily
- Ensure environments are fit for purpose and meet QA, BA, developer requirements - work within wider team to proactively gather requirements

**Environments provisioning for core ETRM, project releases**
- Provision environments aligned to agreed plans for BAU releases and when required for Emergency release
- Ensure correct access rights are provided for various environments
- Execute smoke test on environments and ensure environments pass standardised smoke test criteria and other agreed criteria before handing over to IT team

**Environment management**
- Responsible for daily management of core ETRM and other systems test environments aligned to IT Operations cost management

**Environment reporting**
- Use of automated tool to provide daily healthcheck report of critical environments
- Publish to confluence daily environment allocation

**Environments continuous improvements**
- Contribute to continuous improvement of environments management towards an automated process through monthly reviews based on performance data collected
- Help shape up plan towards more automated environments management and implement this plan
- Achieve very high degree of reliability and accuracy of environment provisioning

**Enforce quality checkpoints in Environment management process**
- Responsible for enforcing existing quality checkpoints within environments process to ensure environments are reliable at all times
- Coordinate with various teams as necessary about access and availability to environments

**Support Release, QA and deployment functions**
- Responsible for coordinating defect deployments across environments in coordination with QA’s during release sprint
- Responsible for preparing code review environments and coordinating code reviews across developer groups

QUALIFICATIONS

**Key Qualifications and Experience**
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in environments coordination, management in commodity trading, capital markets or banking industry
- Experience in delivering via Agile and Waterfall delivery model
- Technical environment setup experience in Azure, Powershell using existing tools or willingness to cross skill will be a distinct advantage
- Experience working with Jira and Confluence or equivalent in release management is necessary
- Knowledge and hands on experience of implementing test best practise in release and environments management

**Person Specification**
- Highly motivated and demonstrable experience to meet deadlines including confident in working with various stakeholders to meet release deadlines
- Willingness to ‘go the extra mile’ to meet release deadlines
- Good attention to detail
- ITIL Release process certification or practical experience of implementing and executing release and environments management in ETRM or other risk management domains
- Experience in Allegro ETRM and/or in commodity trading is a distinct advantage
- A proactive individual able to handle multiple releases/ work packages simultaneously often at different stages of analysis, design, or development
- Able to multi-task with mínimal supervision and highly structured and organised in the way tasks are approached
- Educated to at least degree level in Engineering, Maths, Sciences or Business Studies
