**Key responsibilities**:
1. **Application Refactoring**

2. **Landing Zone Design**
- **Architecture Design**: Design secure and compliant landing zones that adhere to government standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST) for AWS or Google Cloud.
- **Account Structure**: Establish a multi-account strategy that segregates environments (e.g., development, testing, production) while maintaining governance.
- **Networking**: Design secure network architectures, including VPCs, subnets, and connectivity to on-premises environments.

3. **Compliance and Security**
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure that designs and implementations comply with government regulations and policies, including security controls and data protection measures.
- **Access Controls**: Implement identity and access management (IAM) policies to enforce the principle of least privilege across cloud resources.

4. **Automation and DevOps Practices**
- **Infrastructure as Code**: Use tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.

5. **Performance and Cost Optimization**
- **Cost Management**: Provide recommendations for cost optimization, such as rightsizing resources and utilizing reserved instances or savings plans.

6. **Training and Knowledge Transfer**
- **Documentation**: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architectural decisions, implementation processes, and operational guidelines.

7. **Collaboration with Stakeholders**
- **Cross-Functional Teams**: Collaborate with development, operations, security, and compliance teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- **Stakeholder Communication**: Act as a liaison to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

8. **Continuous Improvement and Innovation**
- **Stay Informed**: Keep up with the latest trends and updates in cloud technologies, especially in the context of government cloud requirements.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $5,000.00 - $9,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Application refactoring: 5 years (preferred)
- AWS / Google cloud: 3 years (preferred)
