**THE ROLE**

Reporting directly to Head of Legal, Asia Pacific Region. The Legal Counsel will primarily negotiate a variety of cloud services (including SaaS), software license, professional services and other related agreements (including addenda and order forms) with Temenos clients, negotiate with partners and third-party suppliers, advise on associated legal issues such as privacy, security and intellectual property and handle dispute resolution related matters in the region of appointment.

**OPPORTUNITIES**
- You will manage, negotiate, and draft cloud services, software license, professional services and related agreements (including addenda and order forms) with clients in the Asia Pacific region.
- You will manage and negotiate on technology procurement matters relating to the Temenos products and services including inbound software licensing and cloud services solutions.
- You will manage disputes, pre-litigation and litigation files (including arbitration).
- You will liaise with and supervise external counsel for outsourced matters.
- You will follow-up on business and legal related activities on a day-to-day basis, including advice on privacy, security and intellectual property issues related to Temenos products and services.
- You will review and advise on employment matters including employment agreements.
- You will review and advise on marketing-related agreements.
- You will perform such other duties, functions and services, consistent with legal counsel status, experience and preferences, as may from time to time be determined by the other members of the legal department or by Senior Management.
- You will undertake regional training activities related to the legal function.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- You should have degree in Law and qualified to practice (either in Singapore or another common law jurisdiction is preferred).
- You should have minimum of 7 years of transactional experience in a law firm, company or a multi-national environment, in the IT field and/or for an international business ideally with a focus on topics such as Cloud/Data Security/Privacy/Intellectual Property.
- You should have international background with experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment.
- You should have experience working on revenue-generating cloud services, software, and/or other technology contracts and overseeing deals from inception to close while managing risk and aiding the sales team in moving deals.
- You should have experience dealing with compliance and regulatory related issues in the IT and banking sectors in the Asia Pacific region.
- You should be commercially savvy, interested in the business aspects of the legal advice and services provided.
- Fluency in English required with excellent drafting skills, proficiency in another language spoken widely in the Asia-Pacific region is a significant plus.
- You should have strong negotiation skills, inventive, independent, flexible, dynamic and initiative taker.
- Independent, well organized, detail oriented.
- Team player. Good communication skills. Ability to work under pressure to deadlines, with a sense of urgency.
- You should have excellent command of MS Office environment.
- Ability to travel.
