**Job Purpose**:
Responsible for developing and executing short and long-term sourcing strategies, driving factory relationships, initial cost negotiations, and new product development follow up.

**Responsibilities**:

- Continuously expand product knowledge/expertise. Be the expert in all key sourcing regions and product categories.
- Create, manage and execute product specifications as well as pricing strategies in the in-house inventory system for marketing, sales and supply chain requirements.
- Analyse and develop strategic supplier partnerships aligned with Sia Huat’s mission across the commercial foodservice and retail homewares industry.
- Manage the effective sourcing and customisation of products based on customer requirements.
- Negotiates costing and proposes value engineering options to achieve profitability goals while ensuring product vision is achieved.
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales and other Departments to develop, position, and expand Sia Huat’s house brands.
- Represent the company professionally to all external partners, principals and suppliers across different communication platforms and tools.
- Develop and retain staff through effective leadership
- Ensure compliance to sustainable sourcing policies and procedures, as well as align with overall business objectives.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum degree with 8 years of product sourcing experience, preferably in consumer goods or hospitality supplies industry.
- Minimum 5 years in supervisor position in relevant industry
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in data management and analysis, using MS Excel and/or inventory management system.
- Creative, meticulous and have an eye for details.
- Able to multi-task, work independently and deliver high quality work under demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
