**What the role is**
- Hawker centres are our “community dining rooms”, where self-made hawker-entrepreneurs serve affordable good food, bringing people together in our everyday neighbourhoods. By joining the Hawkers’ Policy team, you will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, policies and plans to ensure that our hawker centres remain relevant and sustainable, to meet the needs of Singaporeans, today and tomorrow.
**What you will be working on**
- You will be part of the team that is collectively responsible for the following: 1. Review tenancy agreements to ensure its continued relevance and alignment with key policy objectives of ensuring affordable and quality food options in hawker centres, enhancing vibrancy of hawker centres and community bonding, and sustainable hawker trade, as well as maintain its effectiveness in ensuring compliance to policy and regulations 2. Translate strategic objectives into new programmes and initiatives, and coordinate their corresponding communication and implementation plans 3. Develop long-term strategies to ensure adequate and sustainable resourcing and management of hawker centres 4. Drive and coordinate surveys and sense-making efforts within Hawker Centres Group (HCG) to ensure alignment and relevance with changing policy and operational needs 5. Support management in monitoring and reporting of key performance indicators of HCG 6. Collaborate with other agencies to support the delivery of WOG policies and programmes through hawker centres
