The Vice President for Research & Development is responsible for defining the technology roadmap of the organisation. He/she will direct and oversee development projects that may eventually transform into the technical competence of the Company. He/she will explore new technologies and knowhow to develop them into the Company’s intellectual properties.

The Vice President for Research & Development oversees R&D, Quality Assurance and Quality Control departments of the Company and its Group's manufacturing facilities. He/she needs to demonstrate leadership to guide, nurture and motivate the staffs to achieve a high level of competence. He/she will be responsible for the preparation of annual budgets and allocation of resources to achieve short and long term objectives of the departments.

(Existing manufacturing facilities are in China. New manufacturing facilities will be set up in Malaysia and Indonesia)

The Vice President for Research & Development will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to define products portfolio. He/she will ensure the products' continuous technology advancement to meet market requirements.

The Vice President for Research & Development will support the Production teams to ensure production processes are performed at the optimum efficiency that meets the products' technology and quality requirements.
- Minimum 10 years management experience in R&D function.
- Minimum 12 years technical experience in the inorganic pigments industry.
- Minimum 3 years operational experience working in China.
- In-depth knowledge in colour management and CIE systems.
- Good understanding of regulatory compliances of pigments used in food, cosmetic, toys, inks, coatings and building materials.
- Proven track record in building and leading teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Clear and systematic thinking, which demonstrates correct judgement and problem-solving competence.
- Excellent communication skills in multicultural environments.
- A minimum qualification of master’s degree in chemistry.
