Role Purpose

Vice President, Technical, strategically directs and oversees the technical functions, including Engineering, Construction, Installation & Commissioning, and Project Controls. This role has the authority to make key decisions, is responsible to provide the overall technical direction which is key to ensuring project success. This role also provides leadership, advice, guidance, and coaching to the technical departments and the broader project team to safeguard the projects. Vice President, Technical, manages strategies to influence effective executive and project board governance.

Key Accountabilities

Strategy Implementation

Set short and long term strategies, translate the strategies into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management and annual technical planning.

Project Execution Guidance

Provides guidance to the technical departments and managers for project execution to define responsibility, monitors individual performance, quality of output, project delivery, plans suitable resources to execute project.

HSEQ Performance Monitoring

Demonstrates visible leadership and proactive commitment to achieving HSEQ excellence and continual improvement, ensures adequate resources for effective implementation and execution of project in HSEQ performance to ensure HSEQ Compliance.

Product Development

Evaluating new technologies and determining when they should be incorporated into the company’s products or services. Developing new products based on emerging technology trends in order to stay ahead of competitors.

Compliance

Complies with MODEC Group’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and Policies to ensure project business activities and decisions conform to the law and regulations and demonstrates high standard of ethical behavior.

Stakeholder Management

Establish customer, partner, supplier and contractor relationship principles, strategy and guidelines for projects execution to build trust and positive relationship with external stakeholders associated with the project in keeping with the goal of enhancing future business opportunities.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, master degree preferred.
- Good written and spoken english is mandatory. Additional advantage if proficency in spoken and written Jap Business language.

Competencies
- At least 25 years relevant experiences within the industry, half of it being management of corporate departments or projects
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry, particularly FPSO projects and EPCI project implementation & management skills
- Planning, Scheduling and Risk management skills
- Project Finance, Costing
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and technologies involved in the FSPO
- Stakeholder management skill
- Advanced international communication skill, both written and verbal
- Negotiation skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite
