DESIGNATION : Nurse Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

**Clinical nursing governance**
- Oversee the implementation of clinical practices including utilisation of new technologies, regular clinical nursing audits to ensure the standards of care is of high quality.
- Develop new nursing policies and standard operating procedures for continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and review existing standard operating procedures if the need arise.
- Collaborate with Centre Managers to review and evaluate the clinical nursing documentations.
- Lead and direct clinical or service quality activities for all the centres.
- Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care rendered to the residents are in accordance to the ENHS.
- Carry out periodic clinical audits and analyse the audit results accordingly.
- Work closely with Centre Managers on action plans for continuing improvement and compliance.

**Job Redesign**
- Identify, plan and lead job design initiatives for all staffs.
- Plan, implement and evaluate effectiveness of job redesign for the different categories of staff.

**Mentorship**
- Provide mentorship, guidance and coach staff to work with people and facilitate continuous learning.
- Provide ongoing supervision to all care staff to ensure delivery of nursing care in meeting organizational goals.

**Financial Management**
- Responsible Assist in monitoring of monthly operating expenses and proper inventory control.
- Monitor the expenditure report of the clinical areas
- Review monthly financial performance and variance reports.
- Evaluate the efficient and effective use of consumables, supplies and dressing materials.
- Assist in ensuring effective management of resources, cut waste and increase productivity at centre level.

**Manpower Planning**
- Assist to coordinate staffing needs and requirements for all centres.
- Monitor closely manpower based on approved established head counts and MOH guidelines.

**Secondary Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Assist in coordination of the yearly nursing home strategic planning activities.
- Assist in building nursing capabilities to support ECON’s initiatives and new services.
- Act as a resource person on clinical, service and training matters.
- Provide counselling session for staff with complex issues
- Deputizes Director, Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing in her absence
- Assume any other additional responsibilities assigned by Director, Nursing

QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Nurse, registered with the Singapore Nursing Board and has at least 10 years of working experience in healthcare or related setting.
- A post-basic qualification in the relevant nursing specialty and with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- More than 5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Team player with strong interpersonal communications skill, customer and quality focused
