**About the Team**

The APJ Innovation Office Digital Labs team is a part of the regional presales-organization at SAP. We are a diverse team of UX designers, data scientists and developers crafting business process flows, designing exciting mockups and building amazing prototypes for our customers. We work distributed in several countries as Singapore, Japan, Korea, India and Australia.

**In this role, you'll**:
We are looking for a highly-motivated and customer-focused individual to work on Industry 4.0 connected topics. This involves using our SAP business solutions as well as the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) which is SAP’s cloud platform for our customers.

We are offering exciting prototyping projects to work in the field of connected plants, Internet of Things (IoT), Digital supply chain and more. We like to combine disciplines, so machine learning scenarios are often a part of what we do.

In your role you would work on an assignment where a business use case must be brought with the help of latest SAP and Non-SAP technologies to a working prototype. These prototypes will then be used for customer demonstration, in our Experience Center, events and social media activities.

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

The expectation is to work with support of our Digital Lab team on:

- Work on a prototype using SAP and Non-SAP technology for an Industry 4.0 or a similar scenario. This can encompass the usage of ML/AI solutions and new technologies that we want to evaluate. Or:

- Alternatively, you have a background in electronics/ electrical engineering and enjoy working with microcontrollers, sensors and actuators for IoT scenarios
- You can set a strong focus on building a prototype with us based on Microcontrollers
- Working together as a team of interns to plan together, share work packages.
- Learn how to plan, manage, and run projects with Scrum.
- Document and present the outcomes of the prototype.

Education and qualifications/ Skills and Competencies needed for this role:

- University student- Programming expertise in any of these fields: JavaScript/ Node.js or Python, C, C++
- Ideally exposure to machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, scikit-learn)
- Knowledge of a UI framework like Angular or React is a plus.
- Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes will be useful.
- If available it’s a plus: knowledge of microcontroller programming (Arduino, ESP32, STM32 and the like).
- Fluency in English is a MUST, any other language an asset.
