The Research Engineer I will be under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Paul Liu. The research involves the development of novel reactor technologies in collaboration with industrial collaborators. The Research Engineer I is expected to complete the research tasks assigned and proactively participate in assisting the daily operation of the research laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, tender, commission and operation of a pilot-scale reactor prototype
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the reactor apparatus
- Co-ordinate the interaction and the exchange of information between different work packages
- Procure chemicals, consumables and research equipment
- Write research papers
- Report to research supervisor
- Effectively communicate research findings to collaborators, funding agencies and the scientific community

Job Requirements:

- A Bachelor degree or equivalent qualifications specialising in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline from an internationally reputable university with at least a 2.1 degree or equivalent)
