Project Title: Understanding children’s learning and development in the preschool classrooms
Project Introduction:
We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and analytical Research Associate to join the project. We aim to examine children’s learning and development in the preschool classrooms. Children are assessed using standardized assessment tools and preschool classroom interactions are recorded.
Requirements:
- A Masters or equivalent degree in psychology, economics, cognitive sciences, education, linguistics, or related fields.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and familiarity with software such as R, MPlus, Python, NVivo, etc.
- Strong observational skills and keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate research findings to diverse audiences.
- Enthusiasm about research in social sciences
- Strong, self-directed initiative and ability to take on challenges
Responsibilities:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analyses
- Review and synthesize relevant research
- Organize research data, maintain research records, and document research progress
- Assist with coding of classroom talk
- Support research team in research dissemination efforts
