Research Officer

A full-time Research Officer in the Infection and Adaptive Immunity Lab (Jun Siong Low's laboratory) is available starting effective immediately. This is a fast-paced laboratory studying T and B cell repertoire in infection and cancer. We are seeking a motivated and quick learner to support the Principal Investigator and his team regarding research, laboratory, and administrative needs in setting up and in the smooth running of the new laboratory at the AIDL, and in projects related to monoclonal antibody discovery against Pathogen X.
Design and conduct experiments including data collection and analysis.
Perform meticulous recordkeeping and draft reports and presentations to collaborators.
Oversee daily laboratory activities and help manage the lab's routine admin duties.
Help new students and postdocs settle into the lab, transfer techniques to them, and participate in their research.
Ensure safe technical practices and procedures.
**Job Requirements**:
Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, Immunology, or related field.
At least 6 months wet lab experience, you must have experience in molecular biology, cell culture and monoclonal antibody work.
General lab skills in molecular biology.
Highly motivated and able to work independently and multitask.
Team player with good interpersonal skills.
Good spoken and written communication skills.
A strong desire to constantly learn and acquire new skills.
