**The Role**:
**The Main Responsibilities**:

- Experience with SAP NetWeaver, SAP Enterprise Portals, SAP Portal on Device (POD), Federated Portal Network (FPN), and SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio
- Be responsible for technical delivery in the areas SAP Basis, Solution Manager, Portal, UI5, Fiori, and Database (DB2, HANA, Sybase MSSQL);
- Be responsible for maintaining multiple SAP instances that comprise the SAP environment (development, test, training and production);
- Be responsible for to support and implement optimal SAP configuration to maximize system performance and availability
- Be responsible for maintaining SAP performance by planning and executing SAP tuning strategies;
- Be responsible for monitoring all SAP systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space);
- Be responsible for developing and maintaining system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces (includes Technical Design and Application information documents);
- Executing daily operational activities related to the SAP Environment including object transports, setup/configuration, operational SAP monitoring, troubleshooting and error handling, performance/tuning and problem determination/resolution
- Provide technical expertise in the domain of SAP Basis services in the areas of operations and project management
- Ensure availability and optimal performance of services through continuous assessment of IT infrastructure operations.
- Participate in cross functional project reviews and Identify high risk areas pertaining to the SAP landscapes.
- Experience with the configuration and use of SAP specific scheduling, management and monitoring tools such as Autosys and Solution Manager.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery exercises for the in scope SAP landscape.

Broad understanding of SAP Basis administration to include and not limited to:

- Perform SAP Installations, Configurations, Parameter Updates, and Upgrades
- Perform Performance Tuning, System Sizing, and System copies
- Proactively perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of issues to resolution
- Provide SAP HANA DBA support, including HANA DB installation and upgrade, DB maintenance, monitoring, performance tuning, DB backup and recovery
- Develop and maintain effective working relationship with SAP Application owners, IT Infrastructure, Server Support, and Network Teams
- Stay current with Industry Emerging Technologies, Products, Services, Protocols, and Standards

Education or Equivalent Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in related fields
- 3+ years of SAP Basis technical administration experience
- Experience with Windows Server, Linux, SQL Server, and networking preferred
