**Job purpose**:
As a Loan Origination and Structuring Specialist you work on the conception, structuring, negotiation and marketing of specific credit transactions. In Loan Origination Asia, the focus is on defined customer group responsibility focusing on corporate and FI/NBFI syndicated loan transactions.

Purpose is to work in transaction teams and assist in developing and acquiring syndicated loan mandates and originating other financing opportunities for the bank; to assist in guiding transactions to successful conclusion including all required approvals and satisfactory documentation within approved parameters and with the aim to maximize revenue and other benefits for Commerzbank.

**Key activities**:

- Identify deal opportunities by collaborating with internal stakeholders (e.g. International Corporates, Risk Management, Lending)
- Structuring loans with a view to placing them in the market and in line with risk assessment and market expectations
- Provide financing proposals and structures based on experience and an in-depth knowledge of the loan capital markets
- Transacting loans to high standards of professionalism, quality and reliability and ensuring smooth processes; maintaining seamless co-operation within Syndicated Finance and other internal counterparties
- Review, comment upon and negotiate all related product documentation aspects
- Support credit and business submissions as appropriate
- Writing well-researched and argued syndication votes
- Keeping team head and other superiors aware of key developments, as appropriate
- Ensuring suitable internal and external reporting on transaction progress and results
- Assisting with syndication/distribution activities or internal selldown requirement

**Formal education**:
University degree or similar education

**Specialist knowledge (work experience, further qualification)**:

- 7-10 years of professional experience
- Sales experience required, Project experience desirable
- On-the-job experience of a minimum of 5 years in syndicated loans / debt capital markets or credit related areas
- Absolutely fluent and confident in English (additional languages such as Mandarin, Japanese, Korean are of advantage)
