**Deputy Director - Startup Development**

**Job Description**:

- Reporting to the CEO and work closely with the Management team to develop key strategies in growing the Company’s business, services and operationalise the strategies to meet organisation objectives and KPIs. Work closely with other team members in meeting the organisation’s KPIs.
- Actively drive and lead the team in the development of a vibrant Singapore startup ecosystem. Develop deep partnerships with key ecosystem stakeholders and play an active role in driving ACE Memberships recruitment and roll out of member activities and services. Drive the discovery and pipelining of new startups. Lead and develop the engagement of IHLs to partner ACE in driving an innovation and entrepreneurship culture in Singapore.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the team members, develop team members’ capabilities and competencies, and provide performance assessment of the team.
- Develop project charters, programme playbooks, prepare and maintain accurate administrative records, including but not limited to minutes, reports, agreements, etc.
- Work with Finance to ensure good governance, timely and successful grant claims, and maintaining a good audit posture. Work closely with Finance and other Team Leads in tracking the Company’s KPIs, collation of claims submissions and validation of claims submissions, and managed funding agencies relationships to ensure successful grant claims.
- Develop programme budget and track programme budget utilisation to ensure effective use of budget and resources.
- Provide regular updates to the Management on the progress of the programmes and activities during meetings or in writing as and when as required. Front or participate in any Special Projects, or undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or the Management.

**Requirements**:

- Good degree in any field with a higher degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar capacity. Experience in nurturing startups either in the public or private sector would be desired.
- Highly responsible, efficient, meticulous with clarity of purpose. Excellent interpersonal skills and problem solving mindset.
- Ability to collaborate as a team to achieve shared outcomes in a fast paced and dynamic environment is critical to success.
