Intern: Supporting Fintech and Blockchain Research

The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) is a member-driven, non-profit entity with thousands of members worldwide focused on building resiliency in the industry through the concept of mutual defense. The FS-ISAC shares threat and vulnerability information, conducts coordinated exercises, manages rapid response communications for both cyber and physical events, conducts education and training programs, and fosters collaboration with other key industries and the public sector.

This internship position will deliver skills and knowledge about cyber security and technology risks in the FinTech and Blockchain domains through research, interaction with experts from the financial industry, and academic researchers. The intern will gain skills and knowledge by providing support to and being mentored by the following three Singapore-based FS-ISAC Global Intelligence Office (GIO) personnel: Global Intelligence Officer (APAC), Intelligence Analyst (IA), and Technical Analyst (TA).

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Conduct multiple-source research analysis on Central Bank Digital Coin (CBDC) or smart contracts focusing on the technology and cyber risk part related to it.
- Produce polished report or researcher paper on CBDC in coordination with the GIO’s intelligence strategy;
- Collaborate in research tasks with the GIO staff, other FS-ISAC interns, as well as financial institutions, and external appointed supervisor;
- Throughout the course of the internship, develop in-depth knowledge of financial sector assets, activities and members to provide meaningful critical information support; and
- Participate in information security and cyber threat intelligence trainings and events.

**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's Degree student in Fintech/ Information Systems or any other related field.
- Blockchain technology Knowledge - Has basic experience with aspects of blockchain, smart contracts, Central Bank Digital Coin (CBDC), Cryptocurrencies, Tokenization, and Distributed Ledger Technology.
- Technical Skills - Has basic knowledge of cyber security technology, techniques and practices for threat research and intelligence.
- Research Skills - Good statistical analysis; data collection including design of surveys; in addition to using qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Communication Skills - Has effective oral and written communications skills with the ability to compose finished research reports in a timely, concise, and accurate manner in accordance with FS-ISAC style guide.
- Critical Thinking Skills - Is able to approach data collection and data analysis in an objective, logical and rational manner, and understand bias and possible relationships of Exercise informed judgement and initiative.
- Organizational Skills - Possesses strong time management skills to work on multiple products at the same time to tight deadlines and high quality
