**What's the Role?**
Reporting to the FSSC Accounting Manager, the role of Senior Accountant - General Ledger would be responsible to:
- Enforcer of Corporate Policies and DOA.
- Support the processing of all GL journals (e.g. prepayments, accruals, payroll related liabilities etc.), Inter-company, Costing and FA transactions.
- Work with other functions throughout ASM and other team members in FSS on month-end entries and ensure completeness/validity of costs and revenues.
- Review reasonableness of the GL account balances during each month-end closing.
- Analyze and prepare MTM profit and loss variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliation and other group reporting package on a monthly basis.
- Monitor period end close process and timely/complete processing.
- Provide timely and accurate support to ASM entities.
- Meet SLA deadlines.
- Manage the lease system and ensure compliance.
- Responsible for ensuring robust financial controls are in place and are adhered to.
- Timely preparation of relevant supporting returns and schedules for Statutory reporting.
- Liaison with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams on an on-going basis.
- Work with other functions throughout ASM to deliver KPI and other key objectives.
- Involved in S4 Hana system implementation and roll out.
- Involved in new entity support, set up and integration into ASM exiting system.
- Involved in process/system improvement initiatives and projects.
- Assist the FSS Accounting Manager on other ad-hoc activities as assigned.
Audit:
- Manage local statutory year-end audit process and finalization of the Financial Statements
- Support HQ hard close and year-end audit
- Assist in legislation audit (if any) and other ad-hoc activities as assigned
Treasury:
- Assist on requesting the access right for LC / BG, coordinate bank mandate resolutions and other ad-hoc activities as assigned.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum Degree Holder in Accountancy or Finance and ACCA/CPA/CA Certified
- Minimum 10 years' experience as a GL Accountant working in an MNC shared service environment
- Knowledge in SAP ECCS & Project/Order settlement module
- General all round accounting skills with analytical experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and IFRS
- Strong IT skills and exposure to ERP systems with ability to interpret and maximize system functionalities
- Analytical and investigation skills to deliver value-added reporting and recommendations for continuous improvement as well as best practice
- Ability to manage interpersonal relationships with internal/ external customers
- Ability to priorities workload and experience in a deadline driven environment where quality must be maintained
- Mature individual with a 'can do' attitude & result-driven
- Proficient with MS Office Applications
- Customer-focused with service-delivery and flexible mindset
- Proactive and independent
- Self-starter capable of managing multiple activities and priorities
