**Projects you will be a part of**:
The nature of projects in this role will focus on driving value from Visa’ unique data assets and collaborating with **Visa Product Consumer Solutions team to solve their most strategic business problems.** Here are some sample projects
- ** Engagement Solutions**: Enhance existing Visa loyalty platform data models by embedding various AI solutions and drive cross-functional discussions
- ** Modern Credential Solutions**: Leverage data-driven solutions to develop case studies, better understand consumer targeting, optimize merchant flows and put together convincing, data-based narratives to sell new visa product solutions to issuer and seller side participants.
- ** Affluent portfolio optimization**: Design proper analytics metrics to measure Visa cardholders’ performance, size opportunities and derive actionable insights to support Visa Product team on revamp Visa core product value propositions.

**Qualifications**:
What a Sr. Data Scientist (Sr Manager) does at Visa:
Join us as a Senior Manager, Data Science and play an instrumental role in steering the implementation and development of data driven solutions within the Global Data Solutions team.
- Lead the development of data driven solutions aligned with stakeholder priorities and leading different vendors for the execution if required
- Partner with roles across the organization including consultants, engineering, and data scientists to address prioritized problems
- Implement a robust system for measuring and optimizing the quality of deployed algorithms and models. Monitor AI models in production to evaluate performance, model drift, and decay.
- Evaluate trade-offs between many possible analytics solutions to a problem, taking into account usability, technical feasibility, timelines, and differing stakeholder opinions to make a decision
- Break large solutions into smaller, releasable milestones to collect data and feedback from product managers, clients and other stakeholders
- Maintain awareness of relevant technical and product trends through self-learning/study, training classes and job shadowing

What you will need:

- Post Graduate (masters or Ph.D) in STEM field with at least 8 years being a data scientist or analytics consultant
- Hands-on experience in developing machine learning models, scaling data solutions and delivering end-to-end data science projects
- Familiar with typical machine learning models such as Linear & Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Markov Chains, Support Vector Machines, Neural Networks, Clustering, etc
- Proficient in big data aggregation using Hive, Spark, SQL, R/Python, and familiar with typical deep learning toolkits and packages
- Experience with visualization and reporting tools, such as advanced user of Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, open-source tool, or similar
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
- Strong internal team and external client stakeholder management with a collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style, able to work effectively in a matrixed organization
- Exhibit intellectual curiosity and strive to continually learn, self-motivated and results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects
- Experience in banking / marketing / consulting industry is preferred
