Roles & Responsibilities

**Background on Firm**

We do not manage proprietary funds but instead manage and operate investment vehicles (funds, special purpose vehicles, and managed accounts) on behalf of our clients, akin to a fund platform. We do however have a Fund Solutions offering that additionally provides investment management services to clients across private market strategies/assets (namely private equity, private credit, real estate, and venture capital). We are expanding our Fund Solutions Team and the hires are for the Investment Portfolio Management Team within Fund Solutions.

**Role and Responsibilities (Job Scope)**
- To assist with aspects of drafting Investment Recommendations and Advisories, and Board and Investment Committee Minutes on investments, divestments, distributions, corporate actions, and capital re-structure based on investment memos/due diligence reports and transaction documents provided by the Client’s deal/transaction/legal team/(s).
- To help with proper record of all transaction documents and compliance with investment mandates and risk guidelines/limits, and any applicable regulation that pertain to the investments being contemplated or made.
- To help monitor the investments and investment portfolios both qualitative (changes to and progress on business/development milestones) and quantitative (fair market valuations/performance/impairment).
- To assist in documenting and recording the valuation method and key assumptions utilized by the independent valuer for each investment by security type and help monitor margin and collateral requirements and any applicable pledges/debt covenants.
- To help review the NAV packs, periodic investment and or investor reports, and audited financial statements, with particular focus on asset valuations.
- The hire(s) will work with other members of the Fund Solutions Team including colleagues in operations and compliance; the Client’s deal, transaction, and legal team/(s); and mandated external service providers (Fund Administrators, Independent Valuation Agents, Auditors, Tax Compliance, Legal counsel, and Corporate Secretarial Firm/Trustee) on various invested related matters.
- Assist with client deliverables on a weekly /monthly /quarterly basis and help with any investment surveys and undertakings required by regulators and statutory boards.
- The hire(s) will report to Gordian’s Chief Portfolio Officer Fund Solutions and from time-to-time other members of the Fund Solutions team on particular tasks.
**Requirements**:

- Effective business writing skills (structured and plain) and ability to articulate underlying issues, plausible solutions, and next steps clearly.
- Meticulous and comfortable working with numbers and an interest in building and honing quantitative skills.
- Ability to see the forest for the trees and to take a first principles approach to problem solving.
