Head of Operations Excellence

**Join our client as the Head of Operations Excellence - North America**

As a key member of the leadership team, you will report directly to the CEO and support the profitable growth of our company. In this role, you will lead key aspects of the business, including oversight and continuous improvement of Supply Chain, Operations Engineering and PMO, Quality, Reliability, Continuous Improvement, and EHS. You will also be responsible for the ongoing deployment of the Manufacturing System (AMS) and best practice deployment, making a significant impact on our overall success. As the Head of Ops for both the Beverage and Specialty Containers business units, you will collaborate with BU management and BU manufacturing teams to develop and deploy effective operational strategies that ensure the safe production of high-quality products at the lowest operating cost.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide senior leadership and oversight in the following areas:
**Strategy**
Develop and execute short-and long-term strategies to enable best in class, lowest cost
manufacturing across both BU’s for all accountable functions.
Direct and monitor the performance of manufacturing shared services and provide necessary
adjustments to operating plans to ensure customers’ needs are met while meeting strategic
initiatives and financial objectives.

**Operations Engineering and PMO**
Ensure effective asset refresh strategies based on BU strategies and short-term requirements.
Partner to develop & manage capital budgets and expenditure in support of manufacturing,
quality, maintenance and cost reduction initiatives, and other programs with the BU
management teams.

**Quality**
Ensure sound quality systems including BU differentiation where appropriate to represent the
segment differences and specific needs

**Reliability**
Partner to develop a strong reliability approach and culture with the right cost/benefit tradeoff to
meet short term and long-term needs

**Supply Chain**
Partner to deliver the redesign of our supply chain processes in support of improved planning
and processes.

**Continuous Improvement**
Partner with the BU’s to deploy CI resources to highest payback opportunities while more
broadly building strong CI capability

**Environment, Health and Safety**
Lead the design and deployment of EHS programs and standards to foster a safety-first culture
across our NA plant network.

**M&A**
Participate in due diligence processes for potential acquisitions and divestitures including
supporting cross-functional acquisition integration activity.

**Talent and Engagement**
Ensure operations shared services has adequate talent capabilities to deliver best in class
support to both NA BU’s and develops a highly engaged work environment

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

15+ years progressive multi-functional leadership experience in packaging, plastics or related
industry.
Operations or P&L leadership of large-scale businesses ($Billion+).
matrixed, multi-platform manufacturing environment and has driven the development and successful
implementation of a Manufacturing strategy and system.
Proven ability in re-structuring an existing footprint and building a new strategy for the future to drive
profitable growth.
Experience in managing numerous plants in a multi-Country network, which serve different markets
and segments.
APICS and/or Lean Six Sigma Certifications preferred.
Track record of business and/or operational excellence transformation.
Experience in mergers & acquisitions, including due diligence and integration.
Builds organizations / active talent manager.
Extensive experience across North America.
