The Cross-Sell Sales team is an inside sales team that drives merchant adoption for specific value-add solutions on top of our e-commerce subscriptions. These products include Shopify Payments and our retail point of sale system.
Shopify Payments is the simplest way to accept payments from shoppers, while tapping into millions of customers who use Shop Pay for a seamless mobile checkout. Our Shopify Point of Sale (POS) system seamlessly integrates merchant’s brick and mortar retail stores with their online store to provide a customer experience unlike any other and build strong relationships with their customers regardless of where they interact and purchase from their brand.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Be merchant obsessed, understand their unique business goals, curious about the why, and tailor the conversation and product to the merchant's needs.
- Effectively manage sales opportunities through the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing.
- Innovate and create new ways to sell to merchants or prospect to your book of business, we’re always looking for a fresh perspective.
- Keep merchant opportunities up to date in Salesforce with accurate information and forecasted close dates.
- Be agile and adapt to challenges while remaining calm in a constantly changing environment.
- Advisor; provide merchant insights and feedback to our Product teams for how the products can be improved in region.
- Collaborating on projects within the team and across the region with other Shopify teams to deliver the highest level of merchant experience.
**Qualifications**:
- Full Sales Cycle experience preferably in technology/software environment.
- Ability to create and execute a territory plan.
- High energy and strong work ethic driving towards meeting or exceeding the teams and individual goals.
- The ability to work in a self-directed manner navigating through a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
- A collaborative mindset to proactively work with both your peers and cross-functional teams to make our people, our merchants and Shopify better.
- A passion for talking to people, curiosity for understanding their unique business needs, and showing them how to 10X their business.
- Excellent relationship, communication, and influencing skills.
- A love for trying new things, iterating and then diving in again.
- A proven history of excellence and a track record of success.
