Alternative Investment Specialist

**Your team**:

- The Pictet group is one of the world’s leading independent wealth and asset managers. Pictet has been present in Singapore for more than 25 years where it employs over 200 people.- The Pictet Alternative Investment Asia (AIA) team is a client-facing team that advises or provides technical information and marketing/sales support on the firm’s Alternative investment* (AI) solutions and services. Clients usually range from high net worth individuals to family offices and occasionally institutional clients in Asia. The team also caters to Pictet Private Bank’s relationship managers and their teams.-

**Your role**:

- You are an expert in alternative investments and your primary task will be to familiarise yourself with the Pictet’s approved line-up of managers, products and solutions. You will also advise clients regarding their Alternative Investment portfolios.
- You are expected to proactively seek to develop, improve and expand the team’s footprint.
- Think strategically and propose ideas about (a) offerings catering to Asian HNW investors or (b) Asia-based alternative investment solutions.
- Develop and expand network of existing relationships in Alternative Investments market.
- Participate in marketing efforts regarding Alternative solutions and services in Asia, provide training to the rest of the organization.
- Keen to endorse ad-hoc projects including administrative/operational ones as well as enhancements of processes.

**Your profile**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with strong credentials.
- Minimum 7 years of working experience of which at least 5 years are in the field of Alternative investments (at least 3-5 years in hedge funds).
- Past experience in research, investment management or investor relations is required.
- Excellent command of written English and Mandarin. French &/or other languages would be a plus.
- Strong network in the Alternative Investments community.
- Passionate about Alternative investments, you also demonstrate a strong interest for economic issues and financial markets.
- Ability to provide very high quality investment advice taking into consideration clients’ objectives and expectations. You need to demonstrate a clear understanding of portfolio construction, investment processes, risk management and compliance/regulatory practices.
- Ability to develop and cultivate a genuine partnership approach with clients and colleagues, you are first and foremost a team player, and you are also able to work autonomously.
- Client-focused with excellent presentation skills.
- Well-organised, precise, articulate with strong planning skills and efficient time management.
- You like to solve problems, results-oriented and able to propose innovative solutions.
- Strong computer skills.
- You will be located in Asia (Singapore or Hong Kong), where we expect your long-term personal and professional objectives to be. At the start of your employment, you will be based in Singapore.
