**Position Overview**:
Commodity MNC seeking talented Broker for their chemical portfolio, you'll act as intermediaries who facilitate the chartering (hiring) of tanker vessels by connecting cargo owners, such as oil companies or commodity traders, with shipowners or charterers who have suitable tanker vessels available for transportation. Help match the cargo with the appropriate vessel, assist in price negotiations, and ensure that all necessary arrangements are made.

**Responsibilities**:

- Facilitate transactions by connecting cargo owners (charterers) with shipowners. Help negotiate and arrange charter contracts that meet the needs of both parties.
- Well-versed in the shipping market, including supply and demand dynamics, freight rates, vessel availability, and market trends. Provide valuable insights to help make informed decisions.
- Maintain relationships with shipowners, operators, and other industry participants to source suitable vessels for charter. Match cargo requirements with vessel capabilities, ensuring a good fit for both the cargo and the vessel.
- Negotiate charter terms between the cargo owner and the shipowner. This includes aspects such as freight rates, charter duration, loading and discharge ports, laytime (time allotted for loading and unloading), demurrage (penalties for delays), and any special requirements when necessary.
- Assist in coordinating the logístical aspects of the charter, including arranging vessel inspections, obtaining necessary clearances and permits, and ensuring compliance with international regulations.
- Prepare the necessary documentation for the charter, including the charter party agreement that outlines the terms and conditions of the charter. Ensure that all legal and contractual aspects are properly addressed.
- Provide up-to-date information about market conditions, vessel availability, and other relevant factors that might impact chartering decisions.
- In case of disputes or unexpected issues during the charter, brokers can play a role in mediating and finding solutions to ensure a smooth charter process.
- Maintain confidentiality in their dealings to protect the interests of all parties involved.
