Portfolio Manager

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to join our single-family office. As the Family Office Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the investment portfolio, ensuring optimal performance, and aligning investment strategies with the family's objectives. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with the family members, advisors, and investment professionals to drive portfolio growth and generate sustainable returns.

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Portfolio Strategy and Management**:

- Develop and execute comprehensive investment strategies aligned with the family's long-term goals, risk tolerance, and liquidity requirements.
- Conduct portfolio analysis and asset allocation to optimize risk-return profiles and diversification.
- Monitor and evaluate investment performance, regularly reviewing and adjusting the portfolio as necessary.
- Stay updated on market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes, adjusting strategies accordingly.

**2. Investment Selection and Due Diligence**:

- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity, and alternative investments.
- Conduct rigorous due diligence on potential investments, assessing financial metrics, market trends, and risk factors.
- Perform valuation analysis and financial modelling to determine investment viability and potential returns.
- Collaborate with external advisors, fund managers, and other investment professionals to evaluate and select investments.

**3. Risk Management**:

- Implement risk management strategies to protect the portfolio against market volatility and unforeseen events.
- Monitor and assess portfolio risk exposure, ensuring compliance with risk tolerance and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement risk mitigation measures, such as hedging strategies and diversification.

**4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting**:

- Track and analyse investment performance, generating regular reports for stakeholders.
- Provide comprehensive portfolio reviews and presentations to family members and investment committees.
- Communicate investment performance, market insights, and portfolio updates to the family office stakeholders.
- Utilize performance metrics and benchmarks to evaluate and improve portfolio performance.

**5. Relationship Management**:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external investment managers, advisors, and service providers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including family members, legal counsel, and tax advisors, to align investment strategies with broader wealth management objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the family, providing strategic guidance on investment decisions and long-term financial planning.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or CFA designation is a plus).
- Proven experience as a Portfolio Manager, Investment Manager, Investment Adviser, or similar role, preferably within a family office or wealth management firm.
- Deep knowledge of financial markets, investment vehicles, and portfolio management principles.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modelling, risk assessment, and asset allocation strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated track record of managing portfolios and achieving consistent returns.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with colleagues across various functions.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion, given the confidential nature of family office activities.
