A Research Assistant position is available in the SP-NTU Joint Lab, School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

**Job Description**:
The main role of the Research Assistant is to assist other team members in the overall effort to run experiment and characterize key materials properties leading to the reliability analysis and lifetime prediction. Meanwhile, he/she will also help the lab maintenance and procurement tasks. The work will focus on:
- Assisting in materials and component degradation testing and analysis- Responsible for certain independent research tasks- Ensuring smooth running lab activities (equipment maintenance & operation), fixture design, purchase- Communication with industrial partners- Work on a project to run degradation test and characterize key switchgear materials / components- Assist teammates to ensure smooth lab operation

Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering or other relevant fields- Solid background in materials characterization / electrical engineering / mechanical engineering- Good communication and inter-personal skills- Excellent teamwork spirit
