Job Summary

The Import Compliance Analyst will join a team of export/import compliance professionals responsible for NetApp’s Global Trade Compliance (GTC) Program. The Analyst will help define and execute procedures related import and export compliance regimes in the United States and internationally. In this position, you will engage at all levels of internal and external partner organizations.

The GTC team has the responsibility for managing bulk and individual export licensing of products and technical data; accomplishing all customer or transaction screenings such as restricted party list reviews; managing export/import compliance awareness training; handling foreign national screening and licensing (deemed exports); classification of products and technical data under appropriate EAR ECCNs and Harmonized System codes; maintaining compliance procedures; conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with US and applicable global regulations; and completing any other activity required to progress the trade compliance function within NetApp. The IC2 position in Singapore will support the above efforts and will work with a regional Manager to assist with priorities and direction.

Responsibility and Interaction
- Manage the relationship with customs brokers acting on NetApp’s behalf in the region. This includes, but is not limited to maintaining SOP’s, conduct broker audits, respond to broker inquiries, etc.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive recordkeeping program including regular audit of all records.
- Assist in developing and executing NetApp’s GTC Program with a global team based in the United States, Ireland, the Netherlands and Singapore.
- Assist in maintaining a documented Internal Compliance Program in accordance with guidelines of the Singapore authorities, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and other relevant agencies.
- Drive the continuous improvement of the Company’s GTC Program, including automating processes and procedures.
- Partner with numerous organizations globally within the Company, including Legal, Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales, IT, and Engineering to develop and execute defined procedures.
- Assist in developing and implementing trade compliance audit and training programs.
- Monitor regulatory changes and help revise compliance policies and practices in accordance with changing legal framework and business models.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in global trade compliance is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees a plus.
- Technical expertise in areas including, but not limited to: Incoterms, classification, licensing, valuation, country of origin and entry documents.
- Prior experience with supporting trade compliance programs in large, global tech companies a plus.
- Ability to work with controlled technology in accordance with U.S. export control law.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, including in dealing with complex and sensitive matters.
