**The Role:
**Morning Consult is hiring an entrepreneurial strategic communications and market research leader to help drive value for a diverse and dynamic set of corporate clients. Success in this role requires a nuanced understanding of quantitative survey research, corporate brand/reputation, and messaging strategy. Those in this role should embody a consultative approach to client problem solving and have extensive experience bringing people together internally and externally to make projects come to life.

Whether it’s developing creative and impactful survey research, informing compelling data visualization, or providing insightful and prescriptive recommendations, those in this role should delight in helping our clients find value in our data-focused technology products. Internally, the Managing Director will report directly to the Vice President, Client Services and will help lead a team of market research professionals. They will also partner closely with Account Executives in their region to expand current client offerings and enhance commercial outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions**:

- Lead and manage Client Services teams to ensure customer satisfaction through strategic consultation and the delivery of quality, timely project deliverables.
- Partner directly with Account Executive teams to ensure client retention, account growth, and the generation of new business.
- Develop and maintain consultative relationships with key clients and other stakeholders
- Assist in creating and disseminating new insights, techniques and methods to enhance Client Services teams’ collective skillsets
- Continuously improve through feedback
- Contribute to other division-specific strategic projects as necessary
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

**Desired Skills**:

- 10+ years of experience in public opinion research, brand insights or market research and/or corporate/strategic consulting (or equivalent)
- Experience developing teams, coaching individuals on performance and professional development, and promoting a positive work experience
- Experience designing, executing and analyzing survey research (or other quantitative data sets) and highly consultative projects or proposals
- Demonstrated ability to grow accounts through leading an excellent client experience
- Uncompromising attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to craft a narrative, data driven frameworks
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Thrives in fast, high pressure, entrepreneurial environment
