The Global Citizen Academy is The Global Citizen Education Group’s flagship enrichment arm, which offers a suite of enrichment programs in the areas of public speaking, global citizenship, leadership, debate, Model United Nations amongst others.

**JOB OVERVIEW**

This position is a paid position offered by The Global Citizen Education Group to be performed remotely.

The role of the tutor is to conduct synchronous e-learning on the Singapore Math syllabus through an online video conferencing medium. Tutors are expected to be culturally sensitive to the various students' backgrounds and math proficiency levels.

As our main target audience includes students from both the Philippines and the United States, it's important to highlight that working hours may extend beyond traditional or standard business hours. Due to the significant time zone difference between the two countries, team members should be prepared for tasks that may fall outside typical working hours, particularly to accommodate the United States timezone.

This means that some responsibilities, such as engaging with students, responding to inquiries, and participating in team meetings or collaborations, may occur during early morning hours, depending on the specific time zones involved.

We value and appreciate the flexibility of our team members in adjusting to these varying schedules to ensure effective communication and support for our audience across different regions.

Tutors may occasionally be required to attend filming sessions to build the asynchronous lessons on an adhoc basis. tutors are not expected to have any filming experience and will not be expected to edit the final lesson. The curriculum will be provided, however tutors will be expected to supplement the curriculum when necessary.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Prepare and conduct lessons according to our curriculum
- Adopt innovative teaching methods and create an engaging learning environment for International students
- Assist in asynchronous filming - visual and audio recording
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all lessons
- Perform the necessary administrative and operational work to effectively run the courses
- Able to commit at least 3 lessons a week
- Provide review, feedback and reports on student performance over the course of the semester
- Commit to a semester long class schedule

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Preferred to be NIE trained and MOE certified
- Undergraduate Degree, preferably in a math and/or education related field
- Preferred 5 years of relevant teaching experience
- Adept at the Singapore Math Curriculum as stipulated by the Ministry of Education Singapore
- Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Strong communication skills (especially presentation and public speaking)
- Professional and able to work independently
- Passionate about teaching

- Ability to keep track of and manage multiple learners.

**BENEFITS**
- Competitive remuneration for the lessons conducted. Depending on the lesson type and experience level, rates will vary accordingly.
The expected remuneration be but not limited to SGD $45 per hour.
