**Job Summary**: As an Audit Associate, you will be an integral part of Bestar's Audit and Assurance team, responsible for assisting in the execution of risk-based external audits for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. **Key Responsibilities**:

- **Audit Execution**:

- Support the planning, execution, and completion of statutory and special audit engagements.
- Perform audit procedures and fieldwork under the guidance of Audit Seniors and Managers.
- Gather and document audit evidence through interviews, observations, and analysis.
- Conduct tests on internal control systems to ensure their effectiveness.
- **Financial Statement and Tax Preparation**:

- Assist in the preparation of audited financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- Assist in preparing tax computations in accordance with the Singapore Income Tax Act.
- Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- **Analysis and Reporting**:

- Identify discrepancies or issues and communicate findings to senior audit staff.
- Draft sections of the final audit report and assist in presenting preliminary findings.
- Assist in evaluating audit evidence obtained to meet the objectives of external audit engagements.
- **Client Relationship Management**:

- Collaborate with clients to obtain necessary financial records and documentation.
- Maintain and develop productive working relationships with clients.
- Communicate effectively any audit issues in a timely and organized manner.
- **Compliance and Learning**:

- Ensure all audit work complies with Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA) and the Singapore Companies Act.
- Stay updated with the latest accounting and auditing standards and regulations.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss audit progress and potential challenges.
- **Ad-hoc Duties**:

- Undertake specific stages of audit work under supervision.
- Assist in completing any other assigned tasks as required by the audit team.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**:

- Minimum of a Diploma in Accountancy or a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or a related field.
- **Experience**:

- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- While not strictly required, 0-1 year of relevant experience (e.g., internships in audit or accounting) would be a plus.
- **Skills & Competencies**:

- **Strong Accounting Knowledge**: Well-versed with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and basic understanding of corporate tax.
- **Analytical Skills**: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret complex financial data and identify potential issues.
