Graduate Engineer

Wood is currently recruiting Graduate Engineers with Tertiary degrees. This is part of our Engineer Graduate Program for Singapore based operations. Graduate Engineers will report directly to their respective Department Heads of relevant engineering disciplines.

New hires will initially be placed in on-job learning for a particular discipline depending on their area of study or/and their expressed interest. During the on-job learning process, there will be regular performance evaluation and required support will be provided.

At the end of the evaluation period, i.e., upon successful completion of on-job learning, new hires will transition into fully fledged Engineers in their respective disciplines on Wood projects.

To enhance Engineers’ competency, there can be rotation opportunities within the company by performing various roles with different disciplines which provides opportunity to know how company works. Duration and discipline for such rotation assignment will be decided by management based on the new hire’s performance, interest and project/position opportunities

**What you will get involved with**:

- Broad understanding of your chosen engineering discipline through hands on experience.
- Inter-discipline coordination and integrated systems
- Training sessions on relevant topics
- On-job learning in preparation of deliverables such as studies, design calculations, data sheets, material / subcontract requisitions, 3D modelling and layouts, to name a few
- Field engineering role assigned to a Project site
- Inspection and testing of equipment at manufacturer’s works
- Experience in supporting different parts of our global business
- Interaction with different teams, stakeholders, and clients
- Opportunity to get to know peers on a global basis and gain exposure to different leaders within the company
- Fundamentals of health and safety principles
- Increased awareness of strengths and areas of development to support professional and personal growth
