Singapore THE SINGAPORE CHESHIRE HOME Full time

1 To be under the direction of the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist for the following:
a) Carry out specific exercises, activities and training for residents & clients on how to:

- Transfer bed to wheelchair,

transfer wheelchair to toilet,

transfer wheelchair to chair.
- Improve on mobility skills inside and outside the centre including sitting and standing balance.
- use equipment such as wheelchair and can opener.
- assist/train in use of computer.
- Perform activities of daily living including dressing, eating, grooming, toileting skills.
- Enhance community living skills such as how to use public transport, budgeting, cooking etc. where required.

b) To take group exercise programs including sporting and games.

c) To supervise residents and clients during hydrotherapy sessions, hydroponics, handicraft and other therapy sessions.

d) To assist in inventory checking of rehab equipments.

e) Any other duties as allocated by Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist when needed.

2 To be under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer or Nursing Officers for the following:
a) Help to give out food and feed the residents at mealtime.

b) Help to bathe residents during shortage of Healthcare Attendants.

c) Do dressing when required.

d) Attend to the needs of residents on weekends and public holidays.

e) Accompany residents to Outpatient Department and Hospitals when required.

f) Answer and take phone messages.

g) Help serve medicine when required under the direct supervision of the Nursing Officer.

h) Cut the fingernails of residents.

i) Supervise the personal hygiene of residents’ brushing of teeth etc.

j) Any other duties as allocated by Chief Nursing Officer/Nursing Officers when need arises.

**ADMINISTRATION**

a) To take attendance, temperature, blood pressure etc.

b) To fill out daily report book.

c) Maintain inventory and coordinates maintenance and repair of equipment and assistive devices.

d) To clean and tidy the equipment and department.

e) To have undertaken, training program in First Aid and to administer first aid where required.

f) Where required to assist in transporting residents/clients from one area to another.

g) To have undertaken training in techniques of lifting residents/clients.

h) Typing, filing of reports, therapy schedules and other documentation as instructed by Therapists.
