**About our group**:
Systems Integration Engineering (SIE) is part of the Firmware Development Engineering Group located in The Shugart, Singapore. We are a dynamic team and responsible for:

- New and RPT product HDD Firmware Qualification, Customer JQ/Pre-JQ. Execute tests, detect issues, perform failure analysis and work with Firmware Development Engineering to get to issue closure
- New FW features and SoC checkout
- Competitive analysis
- Test automation/tools development and test scripts maintenance

**About the role - you will**:

- SIE Team Lead to manage program and automation project
- Product features, SoC and performance test support
- Perform failure analysis on issues detected during testing and work with Firmware Development and Test Development Teams to get to issue closure
- Perform Software Development on Test & Tools Automation, Test Scripts maintenance used for HDD Firmware testing
- Develop and review test plan to balance coverage and schedule
- Provide mentorship to junior engineer

**About you**:

- You have strong functional management and/or team leadership skills
- Demonstrated the ability to develop collaborative cross-functional and cross-site working relationships
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and demonstrate a good balance between pursuit of new ideas while maintaining focus on current project timelines and deliverables
- Strong knowledge of HDD, OS, server, and test automation
- Excellent organizational skills

**Your experience includes**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent
- More than 5 years of related experience
- Demonstrated programming capabilities in one or more languages such as C, C++, assembly, Python, etc.
- Demonstrated problem solving capabilities and able to readily applies critical thinking
- Good communication skills and able to collaborate with cross functional teams located worldwide
**You might also have**:

- Knowledge of Disc drive technologies (e.g., SAS/SATA interface, Servo, read/write)
- Proficiency in programming languages e.g., Python, C/C++ and general PC Test Tools.
- Windows and Linux OS knowledge

In response to COVID-19, this position may temporarily begin and be performed remotely. Seagate is actively evaluating the virus and our employees' health and safety are our top priority. In the future, this position will report to and be performed at our **SSDC** location.
