Project Title: Building Human Capacity in Singapore’s Population: A National Longitudinal Study of Child and Maternal Well-being
Project Introduction: This project looks into the development and testing of an integrated parenting and social skills intervention programme to foster better social-emotional and self-regulation skills among children age 3 to 6. The project involves a four-arm randomized controlled trial involving parents and preschool children.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree with a specialization in psychology or a related field.- Good knowledge of child development theories.- Prior experience working in a research setting involving families and children is preferred.- Strong communication and organizational skills; being able to be an effective liaison person for contacting families, and to lead and train a team of student assistants in fieldwork and data collection.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out participant recruitment for the project.- Manage the data collection schedule for the research team.- Participate in the training of student research assistants.- Carry out fieldwork, data coding, and analysis.- Participate in manuscript preparation and dissemination of study findings.- Other responsibilities related to project management as assigned by Principal Investigator.
