Responsibilities:
1. Carry out design review of C&S and geotechnical design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment and land reclamation etc. for local and/or oversea projects

2. Assist the Project Lead / Project Manager to carry out:

- review on plan for Site investigation and result interpretation,
- review on C&S, environmental and geotechnical design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment and land reclamation (i.e: deep and shallow foundation, temporary and permanent retaining system, soil improvement, instrumentation, etc)
- prepare tender documents, technical specification.
- managing sub contracts (i.e: soil investigation contract, Accredited Checker contract, biodiversity contract etc)
- managing main contracts
- Ensure submissions and proper record filing
- Supervise both design and/or site work
- Lead regular meetings / workshop

3. Prepare technical reports and submission to Authorities (i.e: GIR, concept design, detailed design, risk assessment, ground improvement, etc)

4. Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations and Codes of Practice and maintaining high quality standards of design, supervision as well as guiding junior engineers.

5. Liason and manage stakeholders, such as clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties

6. Support on pursue project : assist in tender submission

7. Assist in other Coastal department activities i.e: beach clean up, sports day, etc

Requirements:

- Minimum a Bachelor/Master's Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering recognized by PEB. Preferably registered Professional Engineer (Geo) with PEB.
- Minimum 8 year of relevant design/project management experience in a consultancy firm involving geotechnical, infrastructure and/or marine/coastal projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Team player and able to multi-task
- Discipline, self-motivated and resourceful
- Experience in contract administration
- Familiar with Eurocodes.
- Well versed in design software, e.g. Plaxis, GeoStudio, StaadPro, Prokon, Etabs etc are preferred
- Familiar with Authorities submission requirements and process.
- Familiar with land reclamation, port & jetty and ground improvement design and programming
