**Crafting awesome copy every day**

**Developing tone of voice writing guidelines**
- As the lead Japanese language expert on the Writing & LEGO Tone of Voice team, you’ll break new ground by creating tone of voice guidelines for the LEGO Group in Japanese. The role will provide you with the opportunity to partner closely with the global team to understand global guidelines, adapting them and translating them for the Japanese market with input from our various partners.

**Delivering content for global projects**
- You’ll play an integral role within the team, tackling tasks and projects that will see you working closely with many different teams throughout brand. Delivering content in English and Japanese, you’ll work independently and lead content needs from brief through to publication.

**Adapting content for different audiences and channels**

**Collaborating with global teams**
- You’ll build positive relationships within the team and with colleagues working in different LEGO teams across Europe, the US and APAC.

**Play your part in our team succeeding**

The team advocates excellence in all LEGO branded written content and translations. We work in alignment with the entire LEGO organisation to develop and update writing guidelines for all writers and editors. The writer joining the team will play an important role in crafting global guidelines for our Japanese audiences and take the lead in providing written content for global projects.

**Do you have what it takes?**
- A background in Literature, Language, Creative Writing, Communications or equivalent with professional qualifications in e.g. copywriting, editing, proofing will be great
- Possess exceptional writing skill in Japanese and English to support a broad range of writing tasks ranging from everyday consumer replies to writing for the company’s highest priority projects.
- Previous experience of writing for digital user journeys and eCommerce channels, project management experience would be an advantage

- Thorough, detailed and meticulous in ensuring that every piece of their own writing meets global standards and expectations. As we say in the LEGO Group, “Only the best is good enough”.

**Broad editorial experience across channels and audiences**

**Independent task management**
- Confident in working independently to brief, communicating thoughtfully, defining requirements from available information, proactively and collaboratively resolving any gaps or omissions in the brief and delivering excellent content to meet timelines.

**Experience in developing tone of voice guidelines**
- Previous experience of working to tone of voice guidelines, developing them and adapting them for other languages.

**Ability to prioritise and reprioritize**
- The writer will occasionally be asked to support high priority and urgent writing tasks, so working under a reasonable amount of pressure and being flexible enough to switch tasks when priorities change will be important.
