Equipment Maintenance Engineer

**Responsibilities**:

- Implementing TPM - Total Preventive Maintenance
- Performing regular preventive maintenance for all machines (MX6100, Matica Laser, HID DOD etc.).
- Repairing and troubleshooting machines and mechanical related issues
- Creating and managing job setup on cards personalization and packaging machines.
- Implementing necessary training and developments to production operators on all equipment present in the shop floor
- Managing the spare parts inventory, that includes managing the placement of order and monitoring the consumption
- Analysing equipment performance (e.g. MTBF, MTTR, down-time) and impose necessary corrective actions for continues improvements
- Working on various cost reduction & quality improvement projects, which includes equipment upgrading and modification
- Identifying and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system
- To initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels
- Supporting or leading any other special projects as specified, as and when.
- The job holder shall at all times during the employment with the company, respect and comply with the Thales Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental & Security requirements during the performance of his/her duties.
- Must able to work alone during troubleshooting the machines

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or Diploma
- Min 3 years’ experience in maintenance and working in a high volume manufacturing plant or in Personalization Center Bureau.
- Speak, write and understands English & computer literate.
- Customer-oriented, quality and cost conscious.
- Respects and abides to the company and security polices set
- Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- A good team player
- Mechatronic Engineering.
- Basic math and statistical skills - ability to interpret graphs, understanding of Cp, Cpk, etc would be of added advantage
- Proficiency in automated equipment troubleshooting techniques and preventive maintenance methodology
- Good knowledge in mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems
- Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and electronic schematics
- Good manual dexterity
- Strong problem-solving / analytical skills
- Knowledge in OS2 operating system and PLCs would be a plus
- Experience in Smart Card related machine MX6100, Matica S5200LX, and would be preferred.

- **Working Hours**:Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm.
- However, there may be adhoc request to be present on site on Saturday / Sunday / Public Holiday when there is critical machine downtime.
