Roles & Responsibilities

Key Objective:
The purpose of the role is to be the central commercial leader of an assigned product category, delivering a customer-relevant offer in line with the company strategy.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

- Reporting into the Buying Manager, you will be assigned a product category.
- Anticipate customer’s needs, translate relevant insights into the collection and interpret and act upon relevant market intelligence.
- Assess past performance, risks and opportunities and visit the stores regularly to gain customers insights and reaction to the collection.
- Assemble the line range and contribute to the decisions on the range and product mix.
- You will contribute to the budget creation by providing in-depth sales performance analysis of past performance.
- You will be responsible for the in-season trades and prepare markdown proposals.
- Manage the order placement process for the assigned product category.
- Maintain awareness of fashion market trends and performing seasonal competition analysis.
- Maintain buying spreadsheets and records with all product information.
- Run all buying department reports, including weekly sales and sell-through reports.
- Monitor current season stock and sales performance to propose repeat orders where appropriate. Ensure all authorised reorders writing on time.
- Booking in and authorising the release of deliveries, keeping track of critical paths.
- Partner with the allocation team to ensure stock is moved between stores when required.
- Partner with the allocation team to ensure new arrivals are sent to the stores according to the retail calendar and agreed season flow.
- Assist Marketing team to timely order and track the delivery of Photoshoot samples.
- Liaise with Yishion Singapore team in China to maintain the critical path each season.
- Partner with VM to ensure the product is correctly displayed and key products have the right exposure.
- Collaborated with our ecommerce team on inventory assortment analysis, traffic and conversion.

**Requirements**:

- Independent, Energetic, proactive and a team player
- At least university study or related to buyer
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and organization skills.
- Excellent communicator: conversant in English or Mandarin and preferably bilingual
- Excellent in excel pivot/V-look/formula
- Basic fashion work experience or necessary buyer knowledge if there is no work experience.
- Self-motivated with pleasant personality
