**Boeing Digital Solutions, **currently is looking for an **Experienced IT Support Specialist **to be based in **Singapore** and the role will join an international environment with a team of like-minded system experts in a leading-edge expanding software company.
The team you will be working with consists of Technical Support Specialists (internally referred to as Service Managers), Systems Experts and Service Account Managers handling multiple customers globally.
**Position Responsibilities**:
- Responsibility for proactive and reactive support for a few production system installations
- Participate in ongoing implementation projects
- Provide advanced technical support for day of operation flight crew tracking and related products, in relation to the Service Level Agreement(s)
- Assist the client with knowledge of the product, proactive problem solving and daily management of the production installation
- Maintain Linux installations on company servers and make recommendations to clients on patches/upgrades
- Provide System requirements to the Technical Development team
- Participate in a 24x7 standby roster - currently every 4th week
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)**:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in IT related field or equivalent.
- 3+ years in a similar or a software development role
- Expert knowledge of Unix and/or Linux
- Expert knowledge with shell scripting
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)**:
- Particular interest in technical problem solving
- Strong programming skills (Python and Java an advantage)
- Version control systems such as Git and Mercurial
- Messaging systems such as Activemq
- Databases (Oracle or Postgresql)
- Customer relationship experience is advantageous
- Highly responsible, able to take ownership of issues
- Strong technical & analytical aptitude
- Able to work independently and within a team
**Typical Education/Experience**:
Education typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor or Masters in IT related field) and 3 or more years' related work experience
