Temasek is looking to hire an experienced sanctions compliance professional to join their regulatory and compliance team based in Singapore.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide advisory support and coordination on sanctions-related matters and issues for all regions
- Coordinate and review sanctions-related escalations and liaise with external counsels as necessary
- Drive consistency, efficiency and execution of the firm’s overall sanctions compliance program
- Perform ongoing compliance monitoring and conduct regular testing reviews of the firm’s sanctions compliance program and applicable controls
- Perform horizon scanning of new sanctions regulations and carry out impact assessments of sanctions-related developments
- Design and deliver regular sanctions training for business units and corporate functions personnel
- Familiarity with sanctions regimes (e.g. OFAC and UN)
- Liaise with external vendor for system enhancements and administer the firm’s screening system and associated datasets and configurations

**Requirements**:

- Degree holder from a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a sanctions compliance role at a global financial institution or buy-side firm
- Strong knowledge of international sanctions regimes, regulatory developments and industry best practices
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in implementing sanctions compliance programs and policies regionally or globally
- Strong understanding of financial products, securities trading in public markets and/or investments in private markets
- Experienced in using sanctions screening tools
- Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to partner and influence across organisational lines
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex situations and effectively engage multiple stakeholders
- Able to work independently and effectively under pressure to meet multiple demands and ongoing priorities
