The Assistant Manager provides support to the store manager in overseeing the operations of a Subway franchise location. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operational Management: Oversee daily store operations including scheduling staff, managing inventory, ensuring compliance with company and health department standards, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Customer Service: Address customer queries and complaints, ensuring they have a positive experience. Resolve issues quickly and efficiently to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Staff Supervision: Assist in the hiring, training, and development of staff members. Ensure team members follow Subway's customer service and food preparation protocols.
- Inventory Control: Regularly check inventory and place orders when necessary, minimizing waste and effectively managing food costs.
- Sales and Marketing: Assist in implementing in-store promotions and sales strategies to drive store revenue. Encourage staff to upsell and promote new products or specials.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage cash handling, reconcile daily sales, and complete necessary paperwork.
- Quality Control: Ensure all food safety procedures are strictly adhered to according to sanitary regulations. Work closely with the manager to maintain the quality standards of Subway.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent, higher education is a plus.
- Previous experience in a food service environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of Subway's menu and service policies is beneficial

**Physical Demands**:

- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
