Singapore Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) Full time

**What the role is**
- The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) which aims to pioneer innovation solutions and develop world class science and technology capabilities to transform and support the Home Team Departments (HTD) operations in maintaining order and enhancing security for Singapore.

**What you will be working on**
- Lead in the role of system safety engineer to identify and analyse the risks and hazards associated with system designs in the various projects developed or delivered by HTX. This may comprise various type of systems such as Land, marine or aerial vehicles (manned or unmanned), robots, automated systems, as well as weapon systems. The system safety engineer is to work with the PMT and develop recommendations to mitigate identified hazards and risks while ensuring the systems are optimally designed to meet the variety of HTD’s requirements for their operations.
- Support the PMTs to evaluate and validate that the safety mitigations that have been implemented.
- Provide secretariat support in the function and matters related to operationalisation of the safety framework and audit regimes for the safety governance of systems for HTDs. These include the arrangement of safety governance sitting and validation of the submitted safety assessment report etc.
- Support the Land Systems Workplace Safety Health & Security committee to ensure individuals in the workplace remain safe from potential injury and other health hazards through prevention, harm reduction, and eliminating any health threats. These include reviewing and revising the risk assessment and safe work procedures as and when required as well as ensuring that the control measures are put in place.

**What we are looking for**
- Tertiary education in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics/Systems Automation Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or any other relevant degrees.
- Preferably with at least 3 years (Engineer) / 6 years (Lead Engineer) of relevant working experiences in the field of safety and reliability Engineering.
- Innovative and willingness to learn new skills and to expand into new domains.
- Good problem solver
- Effective presentation and written communication skills.
