Institute for Pedagogical Innovation, Research & Excellence (InsPIRE) is a collaborative entity within the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with a mission to unite various entities and foster a culture of excellence in teaching and learning.

InsPIRE is seeking a Research Associate to explore the use of Education Technology, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and social media, for pedagogical innovation.

The incumbent will focus on the surveillance of education technology and AI tools, identifying those that can be used for education purposes, particularly for courses pertaining to these disciplines, including the Humanities, Arts, Social Science and Business. The incumbent will work with faculty staff to promote the use of EdTech and AI tools, in teaching and assessment, and to provide support in communications, publications and other administration related to academic matters.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct surveillance of education technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, identifying those that can be used for education purposes, particularly for courses pertaining to these disciplines, including the Humanities, Arts, Social Science and Business
- Inform and work with faculty staff to promote the use of education technology and AI tools
- Develop the workflow for the incorporation of new education technology into courses
- Develop testing and assessment processes, incorporating education technology and AI tool
- Provide support in communications, publications and administration related to academic matters, including working with other departments such as the cybersecurity team, legal office in this area

Job Requirements:

- Masters from a recognized university
- Knowledge of education technology, AI-tools, social media and user preferences
- Pedagogical knowledge particularly in design of learning activities, testing and assessment with the use of education technology such as AI-tools, social media
- Prior experience in teaching in tertiary institutions, handling course design work related to disciplines in Humanities, Arts, Social Science and Business
- Demonstrate initiative, adaptability and creative problem-solving
- Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
