**Duties**: - Review, analyze, and evaluate reports, initiatives, and program guidelines developed internally or from outside the organizations and provide authoritative analysis and expert advice to the Office of the Director. - Study national and international resettlement and integration trends and evaluate the program implementation by States, local government, and non-profit agencies for their effectiveness in achieving goals and objectives. - Convene workgroups and lead efforts to coordinate special projects and initiatives. - Research and prepare materials, documents, correspondence, policy briefings, talking points, speech and/or presentation drafts and proposals on a variety of complex and cross cutting refugee resettlement and integration-related issues. **Requirements**: **Conditions of Employment**: - U.S. Citizenship required - One year probationary period may be required - If you are selected for this position, the documentation that you present for purposes of completing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Form I-9 will be verified through the DHS "E-Verify" System. - All Federal employees are required to have Federal salary payments made by direct deposit to a financial institution of their choice. - Financial disclosure statement may be required. - Bargaining Unit Position: No - Drug Screening Required: No - Research Position: No **Qualifications**: **Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Minimum Qualification requirements as noted below.** *** **Specialized Experience**: **GS-13**: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the **GS-12** level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (3) of the (4) duties listed below: - Evaluating and coordinating refugee resettlement program plans, goals, or operational efficiency; - Drafting and proposing new or revised strategies or initiatives which can lead to decisions regarding the design, implementation, or evaluation of refugee resettlement programs; - Providing advice or recommendations to stakeholders of refugee resettlement programs; - Preparing documents pertaining to refugee resettlement and integration programs, accomplishments, or policies. **Documenting Experience**: IN DESCRIBING YOUR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE BE CLEAR AND SPECIFIC.
