**Responsibilities**:

- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using ‘big data’ technologies (SQL, Spark, Python, etc.)
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Program Managers to build next generation data infrastructure
- Build, validate, test, and deploy machine learning or other data science models
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into data transformation solutions

**Qualifications**
- Graduate or Post Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or related quantitative fields
- Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets
- Experience in manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
- Strong analytics skills related to working with unstructured datasets
- Experience in building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational/columnar databases (e.g. SQL Server, Postgres, Oracle, Presto, Hive, etc)
- Advanced programming skills in Python/Scala/R including building, testing, and production
- Knowledge/Experience in the following tools is a plus:

- Orchestration Tools: Apache Airflow or other similar tools
- Containerization: AWS ECS, Kubernetes, Dockets
- DevOps & Testing Tools: Git, Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube
- API Management using any API Gateway
- Stream Processing Frameworks: Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or other similar tools

**Leads**
- Ability to engage business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop technology solutions to address business needs
- Strong project management and organizational skills
