**The Internship Team & About the Intern Role**:
**Internship Team**: Cash Management - Merchant Solutions
Merchant Solutions is a business line supporting e-commerce businesses with various payment methods (i.e. credit/debit cards, wallets, instant payments, BNPL and other alternative payment modes) and marketplace solutions. As a fresh initiative we want to cater to demand for cross-border payments from merchants operating in the APAC region. To expand our remit across major currencies, we are designing a payment product integrated with a foreign exchange (FX) engine. Our goal is to provide MCP (Multi Currency Processing) and DCC (Dynamic Currency Conversion) followed by cross-border settlement of funds. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design of a product which will have high industry visibility over the coming 5-7 years.

We are seeking a proactive and technically savvy intern to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in conducting analysis and assessments of existing and emerging payment technologies and design interfaces to support cross-border payments in Merchant Solutions.

**We are seeking the intern to**:

- Explore usage and adoption of next generation technologies including artificial intelligence and machine learning that changes how Deutsche Bank connect, explore, service and interact with our clients.
- Co-create next generation operational solutions - including relational databases and API for data integration to increase efficiency and automation of processes.
- Design and work on setting up automated processes that solve our immediate pain points.
- Gather, understand and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional team (including Core Operations, Technology and Products)

**What we look for**:

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is desirable.
- Familiarity with APIs, web services, and cloud computing platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Passion for technology and a desire to bridge the gap between business and technology.
